Little drops make an ocean ! ............      Love thy neighbour as thyself ! ............    The hands that help are as holy as the lips that pray ! ............   From each according to his ability, to each according to his need !  ............  A rich person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least ! ............

OASIS : As an innovative measure towards the welfare of poor, old and ailing members, the Old Age Subsistence Improvement Scheme, acronymously called OASIS, has been introduced by KRRA since January 2011. Under the scheme, a monthly allowance is being paid to the most deserving eight members of our Association, as recommended by the ad hoc committee constituted for the purpose and as approved by the Executive Committee of KRRA. The beneficiaries, who are aged above 65 years, have been finding it hard to subsist for long. Of the eight, four widows are in dire need of some external assistance for their livelihood. The four old men are also too poor to buy even medicines. These eight will continue to receive Rs.150/- per month for a period of two years, to start with.

Now, with the creation of a Corpus Fund, the returns accrued to it will be used for helping the existing and future beneficiaries. The initial fund for this novel and noble activity was voluntarily provided by two American well-wishers, Mrs Joyce and Mr Patrick Montgomery, long-time associates of Adv T H Lawrence (KRRA President). The generous couple have also supplemented the Corpus Fund with twice the original sum. As desired by the Patricks, a portion of their total donation remains earmarked for meeting the immediate needs (Aid in Need) of our poor people. KRRA acknowledges their philanthropic and empathetic gesture of generosity and goodwill with immense gratitude. We thankfully place on record the kind donations of all the other well-wishers as well.
